On my forum I saw the field for tags disappeared when creating an event.

As far as I can see I don't see anything wrong with the authorizations.
Is there anything else I can check?

Are you on 1.5? Do you have the necessary permissions?

Edit: Thought I found the issue, but alas not.
    - Using latest Xenforo version (1.5.0)
    - Authorizations are max (see screenshots)
    - Field does not show when creating an event
    - Does not show in default Xenforo skin nor custom UI.X skin

I tried turning off/on various addons. I have the tags field again when I want to create an event.
I don't see the tags field when I want to change an event. No clue what the issue is.

You can't edit tags when you edit the event. You need to use the built in tags editor for XenForo.

How do I add tags to an existing event?

I would assume via the event thread

There is no event thread. I am not using threads.

Then I don't think you can add any. I'm not using tags on my site yet, so I can't really test this and I could be completely wrong, but I think tags are just added to threads because it is a "thread tagging" system.

I assume Jeremy has just added the option to add tags to the event thread when it's created and to edit them you will need to edit them via the thread itself. If you have no thread, then you can't add "thread tags", so your other option would be to "assign" a thread to the event that you want to tag.

Again, I'm just guessing here and I can't test this myself, but to me, a "thread tagging" system, means you can only tag threads.

Don't know if that helps your situation, but it's all I've got ;)

XF tagging system is a content tagging system, which can be used for any content type. Not just threads.
You can add tags to events without using threads. That's no issue.
What seems to be missing is a way to edit tags or add additional tags.

Oh OK, I thought it is just a thread tagging system because the XF HYS title is "Thread tagging" lol - But after reading it, I see it says inside that it's a content tagging system which can be used with add-on, etc.

If you have permissions to, there are links to add them on the event overview page.

Could you post a screenshot? Because its not showing up for me.
Tag events by anyone is set to Allow.

Ok, that's an RC bug I think. The top position should be right under the title. I don't see it here either.

Interestingly, I do have the permissions but don't see them on the Event Overview Page. Sure I used to though!

They do show on the thread page though

The tags on the thread are separate from the tags on the events.

Jeremy, I'm pretty sure I added tags for my events after I created them, but like Lisa I don't see the button (link) anymore.
I am admin and have all rights. In the example below I even added a tag to see if it appears in the event overview. I used the default XF skin, just to be sure.

I know, I'm just pointing out I can't see any place to add tags on the Event page :p

I think this bug also hit the Like button (link)?
Not sure what an RC bug is :)

I see the link link, so you may have merged the template incorrectly.
